While traveling to Washington DC to speak at the 2018 Smart Customer Service Conference, I had the pleasure of meeting Raphael (Ray), a Jet Blue flight attendant. Not only did Ray have an outstanding attitude, but he also genuinely cared about his passengers.
Someone from the previous flight left her phone in the seat pocket, and Ray made it a priority to find a way to contact the passenger to let her know that he found her phone. Plus he went above and beyond to make sure that she got her phone back as quickly as possible. Most people would have just handed the phone to the gate agent at the next connection, but Ray took his customer service from ordinary to EXTRAordinary by making sure that he communicated with passenger.
Ray’s actions not only put the passenger’s mind at ease about her phone, but also showed her just how much Jet Blue and Ray personally cares about their passengers. Way to go Ray!
